The DayZ devs just finished a live stream and this is what they showed us in patch 1.25.
DayZ Update 1.25 will include ambient music, a new sniper, player sound distance changes, desync fixes, crash reporting & Weapon Sounds. The release date for 1.25 appears to be close, but we didn't get an exact date of when the update will come.
